New Hope Pantry has been serving the food needs of New Kent and Charles City counties since 2002. In 2020, we were deemed an Emergency Response Agency and opened our serving area to anyone in need. Since that time, our serving area has continued to expand to the extent that 1.2 million pounds of food was served in 2022 alone.
After much prayer, research, and education on where the greatest needs are within our region, we have set our new serving area to be within a 30 mile radius of New Hope Church. By setting this boundary, we can offer a more holistic service than to someone who is a greater distance away. We also want our shoppers to be within a reasonable driving distance to be able to join us for services Sundays at 10:30 am, and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm if desired.
The Bible tells us “Every good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of Lights.” (James 1:17). If you have been blessed by New Hope Pantry, thank God for His provisions, and trust Him to continue to meet your daily needs and guide you as you follow Him. The Bible tells us “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 4:19). Our God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Your needs are not too great for Him.
Thank you for the honor and privilege of serving you for the last 22 years. But remember, New Hope is much more than a pantry. We would love to continue to minister to your Spiritual needs. Join us in our new building! After all, “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Whether you are a donor, driver, volunteer or shopper, there are things you need to know;
Shoppers: All shoppers must complete a private, in-person intake with us before they are allowed to shop, and before they will be notified of the next shopping opportunity.
Volunteers: We love our volunteers. They make this ministry possible. If you would like to help by cooking, repackaging, doing food pick ups or deliveries, serving, pulling wagons, or loading cars, please call us for available times and positions.
Donors: We depend on the generosity of others to help us meet the growing needs of our community. Please give generously as you are led.
Drivers / Loaders: Our trucks are on the road several days a week picking up food from many retail locations. If you can help in this area, please let us know.
